Inspired by bundles of ‘Tibisiri’  this collection took me back to South America where as a child I watched my grandmother and aunts created stunning handbags from the material, resembling straw, but known as Tibisiri. The branches, or ‘spires’,  taken from the Ité Palm (Tree of Life' ) are stripped by the women of the Arawak tribes in the Rain Forrest of Guyana to produce the Tibisiri straw that is used to create unique pieces of craft.  I hope you love this collection as much as I do.
